Candle Care

To get the most out of your new candle follow the below steps and safety information.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Important safety information:

  • Care should always be taken when burning a candle
  • Never leave a candle burning unattended
  • Always burn a candle on a heat resistant and flat surface, away from drafts or any material that can catch fire
  • Vessels may become too hot to touch
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets
  • Lit candles are very hot, do not touch and allow the candle to cool completely before moving or relighting
  • Do not move a lit candle
  • Discontinue use when 10mm of wax remains

Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury and property damage.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Helpful tips to make your candle last longer:

  • Remove candle from box before lighting.
  • On the first use, burn your candle long enough to allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges (depending on the size of the candle this could take between 1-3 hours). This creates what is known as ‘candle memory’ and will help your candle burn at it’s best, preventing tunnelling.
  • Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Before relighting your candle, always trim your wick to 5mm and ensure it has cooled and hardened completely. This will prevent smoking and encourage a clean burn pool.
  • To extinguish your candle, use a candles sniffer or a wick dipper. This will prevent the space becoming smoke-scented from blowing out the flame.
